Security of your
data, money, etc -
Infinity Junction was
originally set up with the aim of helping authors, not fleecing them. That's
a principle we stick to. Whenever we recommend something or quote a price,
its the best we can do - you can compare us to other organisations and see
for yourselves.
On top of that, in order to get live
on-line trading through a major international credit card trading provider,
we had to be vetted, both for quality of service and financial
propriety.
As far as credit card sales are concerned,
we don't take orders over the phone and the high-security automated system
never gives us your card details - and therefore we can neither give them
away, nor be hacked for them.
As far as your name,
address etc is concerned, we never pass on data and do not store it in a
form that can be hacked.
Read Infinity Junction's Confidentiality Policy.
Currency conversion -
In recent months global financial turmoil means we cannot quote conversion rates at present. In general, the UK pound is one of the most valuable world currencies so you would expect to pay more dollars etc than pounds. Check on a search engine or in the newspapers for rates at the moment. If
you buy on-line using a credit card, conversion is completely
automatic.

Dispatch and
delivery times -
Delivery time depends mainly on
payment method, how long your order takes to reach us and, for printed
matter, the type of postage and where you live. Despatch of on-line orders
and UK cash-with-orders is often on the same day when received early enough
and if not, usually within 2 days, (excluding weekends and public holidays.)
If we know of any unusual delay we will e-mail you. Larger UK cheques and
all bankers orders in UK pounds have to clear first and the time varies with
different banks, typically 1 to 3 weeks but occasionally more: despatch will
normally be within 2 working days of clearing.
2nd
class mail inside the UK usually takes between 3 and 5 working days from
posting to delivery, but can occasionally be longer. Inside Europe surface
mail times vary but should be within about 3 weeks except at major holiday
periods when it can be longer. Beyond EC Europe times are very variable and
can take 6 weeks or more to North America, or 8-10 weeks to Australasia, but
again can occasionally be longer.

Short stories, etc
We have
published one anthology (Not For Bedtime) and
have tentative plans to publish further ones, but at this stage no decisions
have been taken. If you are interested and have a story you'd like to send
us, just in case, see below for submission
details.
Infinity Junction also runs a popular internet
Writers Showcase (see opportunities)
Digital submissions -
Submit - (same link as from list above) - please read
this in detail before sending anything.
Printed submissions -
1) Use a
word-processor. Check and correct before sending.
2)
Print using either laser or inkjet - black on white.
3)
Use a single standard clear font of one size (except for headings)
preferably 12 point.
4) Do NOT double-space: we might
have to scan it and double line spaces can cause
trouble.
5) Print on only one side of the paper. A4
size is preferred.
6) Enclose SAE for reply by post,
with sufficient postage if you want the print returned.

Opportunities -
Writers
Showcase at Inter-Read.com - this is free to enter, but no guarantees
are made. Swapped front page links with Infinity Junction, being one of the
most visited writing / publishing websites in the UK, should create a lot of
exposure for you. Click the next Inter-Read hyper-link to go there for
full details. (Separate website on a different
server.)
Political / social comment / irony - can you do it? Our regular contributors to the famous NuGgets column are pushed for enough time to maintain their normal input, so we're open to input from anyone who has what it takes to fit in with our house style. No payment, but full acknowledgement and you'll get seen. Send to Infin-Input.
Can you write net-based comedy? (A little bit similar to radio in writing style.) Satirical farce The Nesstown Zoo Saga is due to end in 2005 and its author, Evelyn Murray, has already said that series 4 is the last. Suggestions anyone?
New proposals are welcomed.
