Yamaha 55 / 60 hp outboard motor parts for sale

Yamaha outboard motor parts for sale from 55 hp engine (late 80s we think) being broken up. Some parts are new, or nearly new, fitted very recently in an attempt to restore the Yamaha engine to full power. Parts which are doubtful in efficiency or condition will be either not be listed or listed with a clear warning. Parts other than listed ones may be available as we dismantle the engine, this may take some time as it is low priority until someone contacts us for a part.     BEING BROKEN UP FOR PARTS spring 2010 or earlier if asked - YAMAHA 55 horse power 2-stroke OUTBOARD MOTOR from ex-ski boat. Currently under cover on land in north-west England, UK. (Note, postage and packing will be charged at cost.) Most parts will fit a wide range of Yamaha outboard motors, but some only suitable for the 55 and 60 hp 2-stroke engines. This engine has run pretty well recently but is too unreliable for use on the sea, we think due to a fuel problem, probably with one of the carburettors which shows signs of damage. The cost of professional overhaul is too high for an engine of this type and so we have decided to break it up and sell the parts we recently bought ourselves and those older parts which are still in acceptable condition. A list will be compiled below as the most accessible parts are removed and examined. Anyone wishing to pay by credit card, debit card or PayPal please e-mail: we can arrange this for you on demand. YAMAHA OUTBOARD ENGINE PARTS AVAILABLE AT SHORT NOTICE, easy to remove from the motor

  • CDI main ignition controller unit for Yamaha outboard motor- suitable for many engines but definitely 55 and 60 hp 2-stroke models. CONDITION- almost brand new, bought recently as part of the restoration project, hardly run. This particualr unit is TIA02-17, (the innards are likely to be similar to other TIA02 units, but maybe the mounts will be different.) Yamaha dealer typical PRICE NEW- UK pounds £400 to 600. Ebay typical price- UK £350. Bought new for UK £400. We'll sell for UK £350 plus post. (It's a small item so post should be cheap.)

  • Propellor for Yamaha 55 and 60 hp outboard motors- CONDITION- used but good, no missing chunks, cracks, or corrosion noticeable and wear minor. Bought good second hand and hardly used since. Typical Ebay price UK £50 plus postage. Our price- the same but without the bidding hassle.

  • Starter motor for Yamaha outboard engines- probably suitable for a range of horse powers, but definitely 55 and 60 hp 2-stroke. CONDITION- good used. Probably not the original, but much newer due to the good condition of this starter motor. Ebay typical price for a unit in this good condition- UK £100 plus postage. (Note this is a heavy item and post cost will reflect that.) Our price- the same but without the bidding hassle.

  • Spark plugs, plug leads and individual black box ignition lead units for Yamaha outboard motors- ask and we'll find the going rate for you. (Email link up the page a bit.)

  • Carburettor for Yamaha 2-stroke 55 hp outboard motor- Note you need 2 but one of ours is knackered, hence the break-up of this engine. CONDITION- used but appears good, no obvious jet erosion, not guaranteed. Price- ask. NOTE- if you pay the extra postage, we'll give you the knackered one FREE to use for parts. ALSO available at small extra cost- air filter box front and back, with matching bolts.

  • Flywheel for Yamaha 2-stroke 55 hp outboard motor- may only be suitable for this engine. NOT available until dismantled- flywheels are awkward to get off an engine this age. CONDITION- used but appears good, gear ring good, no obvious corrosion, no reason to suspect problems, except it should really be balanced on your own engine. Price- ask.
